October 10th, 2008 – San Diego, California — Entra Health Systems, an international applied healthcare technology company today announced the appointment of Bruce Ahern as their new Chief Marketing Officer. In his new role, Ahern will oversee creation of a brand identity for Entra Health Systems and the MyGlucoHealth Network and will steer the development of all marketing efforts supporting the launch of the new MyGlucoHealth Meter in the US and internationally.
“Bruce brings to the management team extensive experience in high-level marketing strategy and implementation within the technology, biomedical and healthcare industries,” said Richard C. Strobridge, Chief Executive Officer of Entra Health Systems. “He has considerable experience in developing brand strategy and will have a key role in harmonizing the company’s diverse products and building brand equity among clients and business partners.”
Prior to joining Entra Health, Ahern founded and managed Phoenix Outdoor, a wilderness treatment program for troubled teens in Asheville, North Carolina. Phoenix Outdoor was sold in 2007. Before Phoenix, Ahern ran a consulting organization that worked with corporate management to develop and implement strategic communication, investor relations, corporate image building and product/service marketing programs.
For ten years, Bruce Ahern was the founder and President of the Technology Directory Publishing Company in San Diego, California. The Technology Directory researched and produced periodicals on the regional high technology, and biotechnology/biomedical industries. Ahern sold the company in the late 90’s.
